Hi all
New here.
Have been reading for a while now. Wish I found this before I applied.
Anyway, my question.
I applied inland in May 2011.
2 weeks ago I got a letter from CIC requestion additional information.
Medical, fingerprints, joint bank accounts , credit cards etcm basically proof of our relationship. I'm a british citizen, my wife is Canadian.
We sent all the info straight away, within 2 days
Any idea how long it will take them ?
Our file wasn't transfered to local office, its still in Vegreville
(Thanks in advance
I also applied inland and was asked for additional docs.
It took about 3 weeks for them to update ecas with a "We received the additional info on such date, thank you".

Thanks Robrod.
Hopefully I will hear something next week so.
Did you put the name of the officer on the envelope ? I read here somewhere that its a good idea. On my letter it just gave initals after the officer so I put that down
No, I didn't Steve.
But it took a while for something to happen after I sent the docs. About 2 months for me to then receive the "We are pleased to inform you that your process has been finalized and that your local office will contact you for your landing appointment".
Hopefully it will take less for you to get that "Decision Made" letter, as it's known...

You are welcome!. Read my past posts and you will find the content of the next letters and even what the envelopes look like!. That's something I miss, receiving those big brown envelopes from CIC with good news... But I guess I will be receiving them again on the citizenship process next year...
