I have applied PR under CEC got my AOR. I am planning to get married soon and want to add my fiance in my file soon.Anyone have any experiance of adding spouse in PR application plse advice.Does it will effect my application in anyway?
Is it better to add spouse or sponser after getting PR?
What documents i need to summit my spouse application to add her in my file.
I am actually interested in this thread.
I applied as single (medical is still pending) and expecting my first child.
My bf would like to get married asap but I'm not sure if it's the best move (or should wait till I become PR).
My bf is Canadian national; would this be the same process as adding your spouse?
He doesn't need to be sponsored, tho...
no donot worry get your PR as you guys are not married. He is already citizen so no worry.
worst would be any reason they reject your application he can apply for your sponsership.
I think once you get married before you get your PR, you have no option but to add your spouse or you will file will be on hold till you submit those additional documents. But if you are willing to delay your marriage till you get your PR its up to you. (but remember you never know when u get ur PR, so think what is your priority - marriage or PR )
If u do get married, just sent a note to CIC that you got married, they would sent you list of additional items to submit. These would include 3 forms ( one for u to fill and sign and other 2 for your spouse ) , your marriage certificate, your spouse's PCC , photos and birth certificate.

I would like to wait to get married till my PR arrives; however, this may not be an option any more.
I am expecting and just phoned embassy as I would like to register my child both in Canada and my country.
It appears as though my country does not recognize common-law and my child will be registered as single-parent
He's from here so I guess he doesn't need a PCC, correct? I guess I'd have to pay the fee as well?
