Hi guys was just wondering if anyone else has had the same situation. I have applied for my spouses immigration to Canada. It's been about a year and a half since we applied. Criminal record has just been completed. I received a letter stating that my spouse has an incident on his record - no live trace . They wanted more information about the incident which was forwarded to them. And now they've sent another letter stating that they want me to make knowledge that I am aware about my spouses incident that took place eight years ago and wanting the full police report
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.. And what this means? Are we at the end stages of all this? As they are asking for an acknowledgment letter from me? Or is this a bad sign? Really worried!
They have requested this information to verify that your spouse is admissible to Canada. Provide as much information / evidence as you can about the incident (including any police reports and records).
It's not necessarily a bad sign (assuming the incident is not serious enough to impact his admissibility) - but it does probably mean you will be waiting a bit longer since the visa office will need time to review your response and evidence.
