Hello,

I will be looking for an accountant job after I get my open work permit. I am currently doing ACCA. I have just cleared level one and two more papers from applied skills.

Can I get a job in GTA? How much of salary should I expect? I only have 6 years of experience as an accountant back home.

What should I do to increase my chances of getting an accounting job? I am really desperate for a job.

ACCA isn't recognized in Canada. You'll want convert your designation to CPA if you want to increase your chances of getting an accounting job.

Not unless you have a CPA. Yes you can get a bookkeeping job if you can find one but if your plans are to settle in Canada I would stop the ACCA and switch to CPA courses.

Thank you for your reply. I do not know if I am eligible for CPA courses. Where can I find out about this? Anyone can follow CPA courses?
