I was wondering if you could help me with my NOC code.I have a 3 plus years experience working as senior analyst in account receivable department with a US based Revenue Cycle Management company.I searched and found NOC code 1312 is pretty close to my job description except it is for insurance claims examiner and our company works for hospitals.
Please go through my roles and duties:
-Calling US insurance companies to follow-up on medical claims, check & update the claim status.
-Capturing denials and working on denied claims and take appropriate action for resolution.
- RCM Process involving Data, Analysis and Voice process (AR Calling).
-Denial Management -working on Appeals, Refiling of claims and managing medical records of patients.
-Working on EOBs received from insurance and creating itemized bills,patient letters, and appeal letters.
I am in a similar position.....did you find a different noc or stuck with 1312 cause i have been thinking the same as it is mixture of noc 1312 n 2172 ....2172 helps for Ontario tech draws while 1312 will further require a certification to be done if want to pursue the job.....kinda confusing
Also, how is your application going or you already got PR and are in canada...would really like to connect as I have a few questions as searching AR jobs in canada with usa medical billing is kinda impossible

Guys even I am from the same profile but literally worried not understanding should I go with noc code 1312 or not guys if any of them know correct or the similar code could u please let ous know
Seems like we all r in same nest waiting for the mother bird to bring some food .
Even my i'm in the same situation unable findout exact NOC code for the profession. But mine is bit different from you guys role and duties. I'm a billing specialist i do make calls to the insurance and make follow ups, works on CMS-1500 form, fresh claims billing and rebilling, sending corrected and void claims, posting the payments, and also calling and answering the patient calls taking information from them and credit card payments and check payment from the patient and working on denial management appeals and sending reports to the doctors on his or her account, all kind of stuff. Mostly it covers all the points in RCM apart from Coing and transcription.
But as so far of my research i found few codes but not sure whether they r correct or not. One is 1243 : Medical Administrative Assistants. Some of them matched and the other one is 1252: Health Information Management Occupation, but this one need the certification Blaa.. Blaa.. Blaa. Not satisfied with this codes for the clarity still searching for the best one. Guys please go though those codes and let me know if u found any new exact codes.
