I just noticed that there is no mention of when the account was created on the balance certificate provided by the bank. I am also providing the last 6 months account statement. Is account creation date absolutely necessary? This account was created on 28th, August 2011, can I mention it in the LOE?
I already visited my bank several times just to get 6 months account statement and the dude there was really pissed, he kept telling me that I can get the statement online and I told him that IRCC wont accept it. Now if I will go again to get 5 years old statement, that I dont know what he will say? This is nightmare.

I had real difficulty with mine too. Had to go into branch. All they would say was opening dates, and refused to write anything else. I calculated the average balances myself no included 6 months of statements to prove it.
I wonder why they ask for something that people world wide struggle to get?

To my opinion if the account is older then 6 months the opening date is not that important. Still however they ask for it in ADR, and one should provide if it is asked to.
