Accompanying family member travel query....

Hi,

I am submitting a visitor visa application form for my father and mother together, however, i am not sure if my mother will be able to travel to Canada with my father.
Is it compulsory for family member(mother) to travel with family applicant(father).
I am including her the application to make a provision for her to travel in future whenever required.
please suggest.
