Academic transcript for study permit extension?

Does bad academic transcript effect the process of Study permit extension right now??
My grades are really not that good?
There are a few F. Will it cause for my application to be cancelled??

It can, rarely.
Why are you requesting for extension?
Weren't you given enough time on your initial SP?

I wasnt, normally it would have been 4 years, but since my passport expires this years, so my sp also expires at the same time, so i might need one more year.

As long as you have been full time and are not constantly applying for extension with bad grades, then you will be given an extension
