I am preparing to file my forms for pr to Canada so i need to do ielts ,I dont know how much time it will take to get the pr for that time i want to study in england so i need to know if i do academic ielts exam will the same marks i can use for filling my pr thanks.
 
Actually for immigration purpose you are encouraged to take the general test, as that is what they ask for. Though they will (most probably) accept academic score as well, as it seems to be more difficult than the general one.
