I hope I get some inputs for this situation. PR application in processing and marriage breaking down due to related pattern of abuse and threats. I am the PA and the spouse is dependent. Divorce is not an option at this time and spouse is not cooperating. Changing the status to Separated I have some question if that's acceptable by immigration and what are the required proofs or documents in this case?
Also I appreciate it if I can get information on how to update the forms like IMM0008 below sections:
PA Section:
Q13 Marital status (if Separated)
Q14 a) Have you been previously married?
Q14 c) Type of relationship ? To ?
Dependents Section:
should the spouse be listed under this section if separated but not divorced or has to be removed?
If must be listed what is " Relationship to PA" section 10 (a) should be filled with. there is such option as separated (only spouse, parent, child, other, etc)?
Q16 a) your current marital status (for the dependent)?
Q17 a) Have you been previously married?
Thank you in advance I appreciate any input as I want to be as much as truthful with the application

You need to talk to either:
1. someone from your specific country to get an idea of the documents required
2. or, an immigration lawyer
The type of documents one can get to show the different stages varies wildly from country to country. People have been getting insane repetitive ADRs lately for being unable to satisfy IRCC. I know a case where a PFL has also been issued in a much similar case. Proceed with caution. Either find #1 or go with #2.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately, family and immigration (same lawyer) advised that. I was not convinced as he also mentioned that non-accompanying family members are not required to do medical which is not true. its disappointing but at least this platform educate and raise awareness for many like myself.
The case you refer to was similar to to this one and received PFL ( what is PFL)? and how to deal with it
