I am prashant ghediya from Gujarat-India. I have applied for student visa under spp program in canada. I have already got my offer latter from Humber college, ontario, Canada. I have applied for 2 years diploma course named ' mechanical engineering technician '. I did 10+12+diploma+B.E. in mechanical from here india. But problem is I have some ATKT (Backlogs) in 12th and diploma mark-sheet. I have some 20 ATKT during diploma and 12th result is very poor. But at the same time I did diploma in 3 years only. There is no gap between diploma and degree. My B.E result was excellent . I got 70 percentage in B.E.
Now, I am applying for diploma course 'mechanical engineering technician' in Humber college, Canada. So, please tell me everyone what is percentage of getting visa? Do you think that my poor track record during 12th science and diploma will create a problem during visa? Do you think that I have advantage of doing B.E. ? Is there any reason for rejection of Visa?
@ meagan99---Dear ,
Im also applying for a student Visa soon...
My Profile is as follows:----
10th - 68%
Certificate 3 , 4 and 5 in Automobile Engg
Less Than Two Year Gap-- Worked in Gas station.
Then Three Year Diploma In Automobile Engg
I Have Choosen "HEAVY EQUIPMENT TECHNIQUES / HEAVY DUTY TECHNICIAN" . The Level of study Is POST -SECONDARY.
Its a Two Year Course . What are the chances of profile of mine?
When you have U.G in India always try to select Masters degree in Canada. This will increase the likely hood of getting visa..!
Anyways all the best with your visa!
We cannot opt for masters straight away , for that we have to do a bachelor's .
and moreover 10+2 ( P.C.M NO LESS THAN 60% IS MANDATORY), Which i Havnt Done.
i applied in many universities , they suggested me to do a Diploma Level Program First.

Yees you right sir. I must applied for the PG course. But none of the PG course is available in mechanical in any colleges in canada based on 6 bands. So I cant apply directly for the PG or any Master course right now. I have only option left is Diploma course. So do you think it will creat a problem regarding visa?
You might have some problem!! On being safer side ****Explain the visa officer why there was a gap , and now what made you to choose P.G DIPLOMA.. * * * * MAKE A STRONG CONVINCING S.O.P ****
That's all you can do as of now! Be positive may success be on your side***
Thank you.
