we have not receive pr card for my 5 year old (rest full family got it) but we exited after short landing now i am planning to move for settling. how he can travel without PR card. should i apply a visit visa for him?
why dont you call and check with CIC, following is the number
+1 613 944 4000
(for an agent: options 1,2,1,2,1 ... then 0 to skip the message),

Keep in mind that it will be a long call, you may be put on hold for around 5 to 10 minutes, they usually ask UCI number, best of luck

Hasni,

I don't think it should be a concern as I left US. and completed my landing formalities and then went to my home country to be with my parents for a while as I have not seen them in the last four years.Besides,I have to bring my stuff from the home country. Moreover, u only apply for PR card when u have permanent address.

The following line has been added to my e-cas:-

You entered Canada at the Ottawa MacDonald Cartier International Airport office on November 29, 2013 and became a Permanent Resident.

I will only explain if they ask.Sometimes unwanted explanation can confuse them and make things complicated.

Thanks,

Thanks dear.
what is UCI number?
ummi, unique client identifier, you will find it on the top right corner of COPR, cheers

Hi Ummi,

You can call Canadian embassy in which ever country u are.For example,If India then call Canadian embassy in India and they will let u know which visa is required.

In my opinion, you will need Travel document for your Kid as you and your family have already become PR holders.

Thanks,
Trick
