Hi Friends,

While filling up travel document,I came across question number 9 and 12.I need help in answering those questions.Questions are given below

Q-9 The number on your record of Landing,Confirmation of Permanent Residence or Permanent resident card

From where can I get number on record of Landing,Confirmation of Permanent Residence.

Q-12 Permanent address in Canada.

I lived in Canada for 3 days and then I came back to my home country .I do not have any permanent address in Canada.I am thinking of leaving it blank.

Please advise.

OP is outside of the country as a PR and doesn't have the PR card yet. So the travel document is needed to board an airplane and return to Canada.

Don't leave anything blank. There's a chance that CIC will think that you missed the question and return the app. Put the address of where you intend to stay when you land; you can explain on a separate sheet of paper that you do not have a permanent address yet because you haven't lived in Canada.

That's how in other thread I say 'getting TD is also not any easy process, requiring lot of info. Or if residency obligations are not meant then its more difficult to get TD.'

the question on residency obligations shouldn't arise at least until 3 years have gone by since date of landing.

Before that, it should not be an issue much

Hi All,

I agree with others that it is not easy to obtain travel document. However, getting travel document is the only way to renter Canada when without PR Canada.

I have landed last month so residency obligations will not be problem for me.I need travel document and then I am all set .

Thanks,

Hi Friends,

While filling my family information form I have to check mark the right box for the type of application.

This is regarding Travel document.

Following are the type of options.

1) Visitor

2) Worker

3) Student

4) Other.

My application was through as Federal Skilled Worker.

Am I suppose to choose worker or other as an option. I am neither visitor nor student?

Can somebody who has applied for travel document advise.

Thanks,
Trick

does your ecase show that your app. status is now complete, meaning line regarding your landing has been added there ! I guess along with TD app you will have to attach a nice explanation as to what made you leave like that without even having applied for PR card. You ought to move quick Trick, best of luck.

we have not receive pr card for my 5 year old (rest full family got it) but we exited after short landing now i am planning to move for settling. how he can travel without PR card. should i apply a visit visa for him?
