Hello everyone, i have worked as Teaching assistant (2 years) and Research assistant (5 years) during my PhD. Then I worked as a research scientist in industry for 1 year. I know my working experience should be sufficient for EE basic requirement (1 year continuous full time 0AB working experience). But I am not sure which NOC should i select...

For the teaching and research experience during my PhD, can I select 4012 Post-secondary teaching and research assistants? For my research in industry, can I select 2148 Other professional engineers n.e.c?

I looked at the NOC website and I am confused about the employment requirements for 2148 Other professional engineers n.e.c.

Please see below highlighted parts.
  • A bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline is required.
Does this mean I have to also submit my bachelor degree and get it verified at WES?
  • A master's degree or doctorate in a related engineering discipline may be required.

  • Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is required to approve engineering drawings and reports, and to practise as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
Does this mean I have to get a local license at Canada before claiming my working experience in 2148?
  • Engineers are eligible for registration following graduation from an accredited educational program, and after three or four years of supervised work experience in engineering and passing a professional practice examination.
Does this sound like I have to have 3-4 years of work experience in industry and I have to pass an exam before claiming my working experience in 2148?
