Hi, everyone:

I'm applying through the Québec-selected SWP and I've just received my AOR this week. My application is now being processed by Mexico's visa office.

However, I wonder what happens if I receive the request for medicals and I decide to carry them out outside of my country of residence. I'll be visiting another country on May and I won't be back home in less than six months. Will it cause any delay?

Thanks!

Hi PMM,

Thanks for your reply!

I was worried because in another forum I read about other people (3 or 4 Venezuelans) who went for their medical exams in Canada or USA and now they're facing a big delay on their passport request (+8 months after medicals). That ugly coincidence freaked me out, because Mexico's visa office usually takes 4 months for PPR. So no need to worry if I travel with my visitor visa to Japan? =D Is there any other reason that could possibly cause such a huge delay?
