about eligibility of postdocs in AB to apply for AAIP-AOS

I am a postdoc in Alberta, and I recently attended a webinar hosted by the postdoc office. I learned that the Postdoc work permits fall under "Canadian Interest R205(c)(ii)", which can be found through this link: Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (justice.gc.ca). According to this, the office said that postdocs do not qualify for AAIP-AOS. Are there other postdocs who can give your thoughts and share your experience? Many thanks!
