About citizenship and PR card

Hello,
my Canadian citizenship test will be taken on December 6th, 2012.
My concern is that after taking the test, I'm planning to leave Canada, but my PR card expires on June 2013.
What happens if I don't get my Canadian passport before June 2013?

Apply to renew your card now. It is only 50 bucks.

If you are lucky, they will mail it to your address and whoever is checking your mail for you can mail it to you where you are.

If you are not lucky and they request that you pick it up, you go back with your still valid card and pick it up. Then you have a valid card for 5 years and if you don't have your passport in June, because your oath got delayed or whatever, you can leave knowing that you will not have a problem getting back on short notice once you get called for your oath.
