A returning PR holder.

Hi all,

I hold a valid PR card and planning to return to toronto on 12 april this year for good,i am coming alone leaving my family in dubai to i got settled.

I have questions and looking for your kind answers

1- is there any requirement for a returning immigrant at the airport,like proof of fund,why i left canada after landing or any specific papers i have to carry with me for my second entry.

2- as i lived in dubai all my life and now coming to a cold place,shall i buy winter cloths although i will be coming in middle of april where the spring started or just bring my normal jackets as the cold wont be that sever like it was in january.

3- can i apply for ohip card right away as i have landed last year but left after a month,and i have a monthly bank statement,or i have to wait for a 3 months then apply.

1) No.. Your PR card and passport are all that you require.

2). That's up to you, but Canada can be cold even into late April. I have seen snow in April in Ontario.

3). No, your clock starts all over again and you will have to re-qualify for OHIP.
