A question about Bank Draft/Money Order/Certified Checks

I am extremely shocked to know the fee for Bank Draft/Money Order/Certified Checks is at least CAD 7.5, which is roughly 10 times the cost in the U.S.A.

1. A Canada post money order would cost 7.5 with a max amount of 500
2. A bank draft from Simplli would cost 7.5

Searching online did not avail me of anything. If you know of cheaper options, can you please share your stories?

A bank draft from HSBC Canada did not cost me anything.
