Hi there,

I need advice on getting a new work permit after a PGWP.

I have graduated from SFU with a major in Software Engineering in December 2018 and have received my PGWP in 2019, which will expire in May 2022.

After graduation, I struggled to find a job related to my major. In February this year, after a multiple-stage interview, one large international company with an office in Ontario gave me a full-time offer. The job is related to my degree and is well-paid.

However, I just got to know that the company does not do Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). Do you know any cases when people without LMIA were able to get a new work permit? Unfortunately, I do not have one year of experience to be able to apply for Express Entry.

Any advice or help will be highly appreciated.

You need a LMIA. You can not get a work permit without one.

What country are your from?
