Hi everyone, I was reading in CIC's citizenship operational manuals and came across this statement: "A minor outside Canada can take the oath before a foreign service officer" on page 15 of CP-4 Grants (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/cp/cp04-eng.pdf) under section 2.26 Taking the oath. Does anyone have an idea what this means and whether or not it is actually done? Thanks.
I have seen this too but I haven't heard of anybody doing it. If you would benefit from your child being able to do oath at an embassy, I suggest you ask the embassy in your home country if this is done and under what circumstances.
