My Fiance is from the Philippines living and working in Alberta.
Her work contract will be finished in Oct 2014.
Our plans are for her to come to BC and live with me when her contract is done.
We are waiting for her to get a divorce in Alberta, Once she has the divorce we will marry in BC the divorce may not be complete untill Dec Or Jan 2015
Is it better for her to get restoration and when should she apply.. Or should she just apply for visitor VISA and how long will they grant her a visitor VISA.
She will have been in Canada for 2 years in Oct 2014 will she need a medical and police clearance etc
Once we are married we will apply for her PR along with an open work permit.
Rather than waiting to get married - you could sponsor her as your common law partner once you have been living together for a minimum of one full year (and can prove it).
Yes - she will need to complete a medical and obtain police clearances once she is ready to apply.
She lives in Alberta I live in BC. The divorce will take 6 months. So common law will take a year. So its faster to get married and we both want to get married. Then she can come and live with me then. I have a business here and she can work in Alberta till her contract is up in October. We will apply for open work permit for her when we apply for her PR and she can then work for my business or find work here in BC.
