I have some confusion about whether my study permit was actually valid when I submitted my PGWP.
I got my final course mark on July 3, 2019. and received my Letter of Program Completion on November 13. I submitted my PGWP online within Canada on Dec 23. My study permit expires in 2022... So, was my study permit considered valid on Dec 23 when I submitted my PGWP?
I only recently became aware that study permit stops being valid 90 days after I complete my study. But, does this 90 days start from the date I got my final mark, or the date I received my completion letter?
btw, I know that immigration changed the rule to 180 days after program completion to apply for the PGWP. But since I applied within Canada, the requirement still stipulates that study permit must be "valid"... which got me very concerned...
I'm very appreciative and thankful if you could share some expertise. Many Thanks!

I felt very concerned reading from the official website, it says:
"You’ve completed your studies on the date your school first notifies you by completion letter, transcript, degree or diploma.
You must provide proof of the date your school notifies you, or the date you get your degree, diploma or certificate. If you don’t have proof, we’ll use the earliest issue date on the document. We may confirm this date with your school."
After reading it, I was so terrified because my final mark came 4 months earlier than my completion letter....
Thank you again for your earlier reply. But a question still lingers and troubles me.....
On top of my completion letter, it says Nov 13, the date I received the letter. But in the middle of the letter, it says "completion date" is July 3, which is the same date my final transcript was due. I applied for the PGWP on Dec 23.
Is that a big problem?? Which date is the 90-day countdown supposed to begin for the study permit validity?

The "countdown" begins from the day you receive your completion letter from your university. If your study permit expires before the 90 days, that will be the day you go into implied status.
