$800000 asset

Hi ,

i applied federal investor programm in jan 2008, i would like to ask your kind help ,as you know i have to show net worth asset $800000.and most of my Properties registered on my name and my brother name.I mean , properties documents showed that properties registered same time on my name and my real brother name. both names written on registration documents.

My question is immigration officer will accept my net asset $800000 ,which is actually registered on both of us ( me and my brother).
Please give me your kind suggestions .Thanks

From what you are describing, the properties are held jointly between your brother and yourself.

I believe the only way they will take the full value of properties that are held in two persons names is if the other person is your spouse.

That being the case, they will probably only acknowledge 50% of the value of the properties.

This is just my understanding and is by no means a professional opinion.

Brother unless all the properties are not shifted on your name,it will not be accepted !

Only properties which are on your name or your spouse name will be accepted by CIC .........

Any suggestion ,any quick way ,how he can transfer all the properties on my name, he is willing to do so but how .... please give me ur idea ????

Nabil : Brother there is one way which might be helpful in your case.

Take your brother to the local court in Pakistan,make one power of attorney in English which mentions clearly that ;

I _______________ Brother of Nabil gives full power of attorney to Mr. Nabil to sell or use all properties in Pakistan which are on my name.

The power of attorney should be on Govt. issued Registered stamp paper and should clearly mention all details of you and your brother with full names and passport or I.D numbers.

This power of attorney might work for you if CIC asks you to show the prove how you can sell or use all the property in Pakistan as you are not the sole owner of properties.
