8 month pg certificate - spouse work permit

I just got accepted into a program at Fanshawe College for 8 months (Graduate Certificate). Will my spouse and dependent child be allowed get open work permit and allowed to attend elementary school for a short period such as 8 months.

Did you get Visa or you only get acceptance letter and what is the program you have applied

I got an acceptance letter from Fanshawe - Supply Chain Management graduate certificate. I have not applied for the visa yet.
