Hi All,
I have a question.
Our family received permanent residency (PR) in Canada in 2023. My son, who is 17 years old now, may not be able to fulfill the 760 days residency requirement in Canada due to needing to return to our home country for services. Will he be able to renew his PR card? Rest of the family will be able to meet the requirement.

The age that matters is the age he will be once it's time to renew PR in 2028. Assuming he is 17 now, I believe at that point he will no longer be a minor which means he will need to meet the residency obligation in order to renew PR.

Appears he may be doing Singapore military service for 2 years as a permanent resident. He should easily be able to complete the 2 years and still meet RO.
