Hi, I have 1 year of work experience. However, I have 6 weeks vacation during this 1 year work experience. Would that be a problem for the 1 year experience requirement?
Unpaid. Would it be different if it was paid?
It would be different as a reasonable period of paid vacation can be counted as part of your work experience.
Since this is unpaid you cannot count those 6 weeks of vacation as valid work experience.

Thank you for your helpful reply. Would it be acceptable if I work this missing period over the one year experience (1 year and 6 weeks in total) and then apply for iTA?

Depends, are we talking about Canadian or foreign work experience? That is, are you a CEC or FSW applicant?

FSW
Under FSW, Your work experience has to be continuous for at least one year.
Depending on when you took that break, you might have to work a lot longer before you can qualify.
