that's way too much again. I thought it would be 482...

Another disappointment, and another 2 weeks of waiting with false hope.

Let's wait til month end when they publish the midyear report, it should provide some insights, everything else is just moot.

I don't think the mid-year report is going to do anything good since IRCC decided to just lower the ITAs alone not based on the pool anymore.

Hope helps one feel good, but it doesn't bring change about. Express Entry has changed, and while the situation might get better on it's own, there's no reason to count on it.

There are ways to make things better, depending on the person - better language scores, more education, PNP, LMIA. Express Entry can't be counted on to change on it's own.

If you are within the 450 to 481 range I say just sticky around for a little while longer. It will go down eventually. Don't let frustration get the better of you hehe.

For those below 450...nomination or job offer is the only way to go.

How can you say for sure it will go down? It doesn't look like it anymore... Maybe I should start exploring options for Australia now through my consultant...

Ah well, I guess more waiting is in order. That's good, I have some other things I'd like to do before this materializes :)

For the folks that are dejected or disheartened, don't be - it's not good for your health to pin all your hopes and dreams on something that is out of your control. As most of you are working professionals, I'm sure all of you already know how much it sucks when you give interviews in companies you'd really like to work for, thinking it went well....only for you to not get a call back. You all know that terrible sinking feeling so don't subject yourselves to it. Your right time and opportunity will come and it might not even the one you see coming, so to use a very tired phrase "keep calm and carry on".

Just some unwarranted but possibly useful advice for those of you that are upset right now - Improve yourselves and no matter what the outcome, you'll be better for it. Improve your health for the possibility of the health checkup, improve your job marketability by either excelling at your current job, taking on new responsibilities, getting certifications or learn new things... the possibilities that stretch out before you are endless. It's a lot better than sitting and either:

a) moping about not having gotten through yet another lottery and wasting time regretting not having put in an application sooner (i.e. crying over spilt milk), and
b) going through the cycle of pinning all your hopes and dreams on the next lottery, eagerly waiting for the score, only to see it doesn't come close to yours, falling to despair, repeating the cycle all over again.

You are all better than this and nobody would be willing to put it all on the line to move to a foreign country to establish a new life for themselves if they didn't feel they could handle the stress.

Good luck to everyone - let's see what the future brings.

Thanks, this is a motivating speech :)
