when they say full-time equivalent they mean working 37.5 per week in 2 or more part time jobs???Like working as a cook for 20 hours per week and as a chef working 17.5 hours on the same week????At the end of the day you will have 37.5 hours with having 2 part time jobs..So working only 1 part time job and working only 28 hrs per week would not qualify? Am i correct?
I understand that part...but what if one has more than 3900 hours but never worked full time or part time equivalent (37.5 per per week) only 28 hours...when day say full time or equivalent they mean to reach 37.5 per week or they mean to reach 3900 hours ??? As it's not the same...
I'm not sure if you are right...I mean I thought the same but I found a link and it says:
"The full time work expericence requirement may be met by the equivalent in part-time paid work experience. e.g. more than one part time job held stimultaneosly or one ore more part-time jobs held over the equvalent of one year of full-time work. Experience can be calculated by adding up the numbers of weeks of full time, i.e. 37.5 hours per week in one job or total of at least 37.5 hours per week in more than one job, in one or more of the NOC categories."
"Full time work as requiring at least 37.5 hours of work per week. For the Canadian Experience full time equivalence or 1950 hours of paid employment over a period at least of 12 months will aslo be considered.
So If soemone has less than 1950 hours per year he/she will not be qualified
I was working full-time by my employer's definition, but not by CIC's.
My contract stated "at least 33.75 hours per week." Since I'm salaried, there was no way to prove how many hours I actually worked per week, and I had to go with 33.75 hours - which meant 2 years + 2 months before I could apply.
for CEC its one year of full time or equivalent. I had worked part time an average 4-5 days a week 7 hour shifts. I applied for CEC when I for a year and 7 months.
I just got my passport back will be landing on monday
