in the Immigrant's Guide from the US - the document checklist (appendix A) asks the following for Schedule 1:
"You and each of your family members 18 years of age or older must complete three copies of their own form Schedule 1- Background Declaration".
in the sponsor's document checklist, it asks for "the original" of schedule 1.
I would prefer to err on the side of caution, and send 3 copies, instead of one, but am I missing something here?? Anyone else notice this? and what did you do??
thanks - I will do the same, but I was confused if I was supposed to do something else with them?? you would think the overall document checklist would specify the number of copies needed, as well.
For most other countries they do only need 1. That's the purpose of the country specific list, to show you what your country needs, if it's different than the overall form. Good luck!
Haha, I've been researching since April 2009 and heavily at that. I have most of it memorized... well, the parts pertaining to my application. I couldn't help someone much in a non US-Region Specific case. But you are very welcome, I love being able to help.
yikes~ I missed the "3 copies" part! I only sent one. I wonder if they are going to ask me to make 2 more copies?? That would really suck if this would cause more delay in my application.
on the sheet I have it states: "...the principal applicant, his/her spouse or common law partner...and all dependent children 18 years or older listed in this application must complete their own copy of this form."
Nothing about 3 copies or whatnot, just 'their own copy', ie 1.
Sheet no: is IMM0008 (01-2009) E->Is there an updated version?
We are applying for me, OUTLAND, from within Canada, thru London.
Yep! IrishApplicant, you should be fine. In fact, US may be the only one who required 3 copies and I have no idea why that might be. Just another little added nuisance
I guess that's one of those "additionals" that will get included with my FBI Cert once I receive it... if I ever receive it.
I wonder if it has to be three originals. If not, they could hopefully just make photocopies. Of course if I had notied it I would have included three originals, but seriously why do they have to have two seperate checklists that have duplicate information on them?
Hopefully they will pass my app on to Buffalo without it!
