I am completing a PhD in Germany, but immigration here is very difficult.
I am thinking of applying for a PhD in a related subject in Canada, for immigration and because I would like to teach at the university level, and have heard awful stories of how PhDs from abroad are not recognized in Canada. My dream job is to be a teacher at the university, and I have experience in Germany.
Should I take the German PhD and apply, or leave without the PHD and then apply to Canada
Any idea of what my chances are to get into an university with financial aid, since I cannot afford to go on my own funds?
