Thanks Mezo & Sarass01 for the information.
i think we should simply wait for 12 months at the maximum and then should contact the London Office.

Yes. However the VO handles each application differently. For me, though my case should be straight forward but it's been with london for more than a year now and I'm not where it's been heading. The problem is that London VO doesn't give any specific timelines, which complicates the situation further.
Anyway, good luck to all

You can send them regular reminders as it is mentioned in the letter that comes with the 2nd AOR, we can contact them if we do not hear from them for more than 8 months.

Yes, you are right, but they will keep sending you the same boilerplate letter asking for
"some more months".
I guess I need to request from Oxford Dictionary to add a definition for the
"some more months".
Cheers

Hello,
It should be within 8-12 weeks, sometimes it is just five or ten days, sometimes it's five to six months. London becomes unpredictable.
Good luck

With your results we can simply say CIC is following what they are saying, the process takes 8 to 12 months.
As your status changed to IN PROCESS after 7 or 8 months. Expecting the Medicals soon.
Good Luck
Any Updates:
anybody got the medical request or at least ecas status changed to IN PROCESS for the applicants getting their 2nd File Number in September 2010.
It is really frustrating, how these people are dealing with the cases.

Relax Mr.Optimistic, many friends who received their 2nd AOR are being waiting for more than a year now... We need to master the art of indefinite patience...
Good luck.
