I have been living in Canada from last 5 years, was on work permit before and got my PR under Canadian experience class. I know rule has changed where work permit time is not counted towards citizenship time of 1460 days. But in forum there are people saying it still counts. can someone please guide me if work permit time counts towards citizenship or not?

Go to CIC's residence calculator -- it will take your history into account, and tell you when you can apply for citizenship. Off the top of my head, probably some time in 2018.

Under the new rules, you qualify for citizenship in august 2018, 4 years plus 1 day, assuming you never left Canada since you became PR.
However the current liberal government promised to re-examine the citizenship qualifications and may consider adding pre-PR days into account. But as of now, it's the latter half of year 2018 for you.
