Generally the RQ refers to the full blown questionnaire.
The 'short' one is called the CIT0520

From what I understand about questionnaires (and CIT0520's), it is basically up to the Citizenship Officer to take out the time, review the files and make a decision on it.

Has anyone had any success in triggering a citizenship officer to start looking at their files? Maybe by writing a letter?

fishbone!!!!

to my understanding CO would require few hours only to review and decide on a file . but seems the review is either random or being programmed in advance by local office administration . that is what making files sit in queue or files progressing ahead of others.

sending letters or reminders will not make much difference .

hi - I applied with less than 1095 days of physical presence as my job profile involved travelling.

but I had been living and working and living in Canada for the last 5 years.

I got an RQ after my test and finally I have been invited for oath taking.

the whole process took 13 months since application submission to oath .

while filling up the RQ:
A) i made sure you declare all travels without fail
B) i backed it up with proper reasons . I just provided letter from employer stating that my job invpolves frequent travel.
C) t4`s and noa`s for all previous years.
D) proof of residence just for current house (did not provide any proofs for previous residences)

Congratulations AkkDivz!

Was this a pre-test RQ or post-test RQ? Also, if you could give us an approximate date of when you submitted your RQ, that would be great!

thanks fishbone.

this was post test RQ.

I received the RQ from the CO on the day of the test (Jan 30th) during interview as I was short on physical presence.

I submitted the filled RQ one week later (ie on Feb 6th).

the status was changed to decision made in ecas on Feb 9th, but the detailed decision did not mention anything like if they have sent me an invitation for the oath.

on feb 18th however, the detailed status in ecas was updated to reflect the last line (ie they sent me the letter to take the oath).

so time from test (or RQ received) to oath invitation was approx. 15 days.

Whats amazing is time taken from RQ submission to Decision made was just 3 days!!!
