Question: I and my family have relocated fully, I have a job here in 9ja and don't intend resigning anytime soon so I am back in 9ja and intend shuttling 9ja and Canada every 2 months. As Principal applicant, will this have any negative impact on my PR status? I just can't resign the job here in 9ja at least not until I get a better one in Canada. Please share what you know. Tnx.

Well, that shouldn't have any negative impact on your PR status. Provided you meet the 730 days presence (cumulatively) in Canada requirement,by the time you want to renew your PR Card at the expiration of your PR card after 5 years.

Landed Calgary with my family July, 20th. Spent a week and went on to Grande Prairie for 4 weeks. Back in Nigeria with hubby and youngest child (4 years) but older children (15 and 13) have started school in Grande Prairie. I plan to go back finally in December by God's Grace.
Landed in Toronto in June. However, been in Calgary since mid August and seems like this is where we'd like to eventually settle.
It's really curious that many people are coming to Calgary despite the recession, for us the Alberta Health Service has been God's special way of intervening in the midst of a serious health challenge. Still working my Lagos job remotely while actively searching for a job in Calgary. Looking forward to going back to Lagos soonest to return fully probably next summer by God's grace.
Please can anyone provide details how to get driver's license and GDL exemption in Alberta? I was told that you have to apply within 90 days of your arrival or you will lose your previous driving experience in Nigeria.
