I have 2 UCI numbers. My study permit has a different one than the one on my Work Permit (latest one). I actually changed my name in Canada recently, then I applied for the work permit and I received my work permit with a different UCI number. I was wondering which UCI number shall I use for applying for PNP?
Definitely, for sure I know that every person is issued only one UCI number but I still got 2 - Might be cause of name change but in actual, I did notify the CIC people by providing the copy of my old passport.
Does anyone have any clue about this? What should I do?
I also have 2 UCI's one when I had closed work permits, and the other one after I received my open work permit after AIP. I think you should use the newer one. When I log into my Ecas now, It is under the new UCI.
Btw what do you mean by AIP? And I wanted to get my name changed on license and care card, but They refused to change it saying that I have 2 UCIs that's why they cannot change my record in their system. This is so frustrating.
AIP means approval in principle. I guess for you guys it's eligibility for pnp.
Anyways. Did you get married? Is that why you are changing your name? I changed my name to married too recently.
I honestly did not have any problem. I changed all my ID's too. Health care, Sin, license, banking, all of it. I had the new work permit then that had the different UCI. When i did this my my passport was not in my married name yet, because it took a while to renew. so i just showed them my marriage certificate. Why would the registry question your uci? That is odd.
UCI stands for Universal Client ID but im not sure, You can google it up.
Having 2 UCI numbers means that Canadian Immigration people see you as 2 different people.
