Hello,
My question is regarding proof of work experience. How do you show to the CEC that you have worked for 12 months exactly? For example my job so far has spanned 8 months of which I have been technically paid 24 weeks. My boss is willing to write a letter expressing that I have been employed from sep 1 to apr 1 (I realize I need 4 more months, working on it). The pay slips however I assume will show that I was employed for 40 hrs/week for 24 weeks only. Which is going to matter more?

Thanks for your help!

If you have only been paid for 24 weeks then you have only worked for 24 weeks... You can't claim 32 weeks when you have only been paid for 24!

The combination of the documents that are required (see the document checklist) will provide enough information for the VO to determine how much you worked. Your T4s, Notice of Assessment, (paystubs, if necessary), will all enable the VO to cross-check the information provided in the Letter of Employment. If they don't match, you have a problem. If you are caught for misrepresentation on your application, you could be banned from Canada.

You need to work 52 weeks of full-time employment (defined as 30 or more hours per week), or the equivalent in part-time hours (which takes more than 52 weeks by definition). Your letter of employment should explain any gaps.
