Hi there,
I was hoping someone could clarify this for me. I have 14 months of experience in the same company, but my duties changed during the period. I started as administrative assistant NOC 1241, but now I ended up performing tasks that are more applicable to NOC 1221. My question is with which NOC I should apply? Can I apply with both? Does this 12 month experience MUST be acquired in the same NOC, the one that you put into your application?
Thanks a lot.

12 month experience can be in any NOC0,A or B categories. Doesn't have to be continuous or in just one job.
Thanks! So I guess I will have to apply in 2 NOC categories then, 1241 and 1221.
In addition, what impact to their decision has the salary? In my case it is a bit lower than the average (say for NOC 1221 the average is 21.25, mine is 16.5). Could I get the rejection because of that?

That's a lot lower my friend

But it should be fine, make sure your duties match tho.

And that's totally fine. CEC is based on your experience and the job, not so much on the salary.

Hello sashali78,
The form "Schedule 8: Economic Classes – Canadian Experience Class (IMM 0008 – Schedule 8 ) (PDF, 962 KB)" to be completed for the CEC application on page 2 of 2 clearly states that "The following six occupations are
not eligible:
NOC 1221 - Administrative officers, NOC 1241 - Administrative assistant, etc, etc"...
I am in the process of completing my forms and I noticed this. This effects me because the LMO what I am currently working on was issued for "NOC 1221 - Administrative officers" and I just completed 15 months on this job. And, my prior work experiences is also on a similar job.
Do you think I or Pichon or anyone on this forum should take the chances of applying under CEC with the NOC?
Thank you.
