Edited: I was mistaken about what section wanted the 18 or 10 years prior, it's job history that is 10 years prior, and addresses since 18 years old.

In the new forms (maybe the old ones, I don't remember), in the section where you list prior addresses, it states to include all addresses for the prior 10 years or since 18, whichever comes first.

I am 32, counting backwards, 10 years comes first and that's what I took it to understand, and listed all my addresses since I was 22. If I was 22, 18 would come first so I wouldn't list the prior 10 years (since 12 years old).

I've already sent the application to my husband to finish up, so of course I'm now doubting myself. Did I get it right or should I type up the rest of the addresses since 18 and email it to my husband to print up and add to the application?

I think they have phrased it in a very confusing way....

In your case you should have provided all history since the age of 18 (not the last 10 years). So if the application hasn't been submitted yet - definitely send the missing info to your husband.

Argh, why even mention the prior 10 years part if they want everyone to include since 18?

Because if you were 25, you would provide details since you were 15 not 18. Its a little confusing how they have worded. By saying it that way they basically mean which ever period is longer.

Confusing and annoying. Chalk it up to more CIC craziness, par for the course.

yeah 10 years, I'm 27 so I added details up to when I was 17. don't worry you'll be fine!

Ok I went to the CIC site and looked over the form and it turns out I switched it (what I was remembering reading), it's job history that states 18 years old or 10 years, which makes a whole lot more sense. Addresses since 18, but 10 years of job history.

Nevermind me, just freaking out over every little thing now....
