I have 1 year and 8 month full-time Canadian work experience which is rounded down to one year, so I get my 35 points for it. Is there any way to somehow get the extra 8 month considered as foreign work experience so I would get more points for overall working years?
Now it seems that the 8 month is kind of lost since it's not adding to Canadian work experience scores, neither to foreign experience.
Unfortunately no. For both Canadian and Foreign work experiences you get points for every full year you work.
In your case you will get points for Canadian work experience once you cross the 2 year mark. You will have to wait a few more months to get points for 2 years work experience.
Thanks for the prompt answer. I'm living and working outside of Canada right now so I don't have the chance to gain more Canadian experience. It just seem to be unfair since I worked almost 3500 hours in Canada and still having the same score as someone with 1560 hours (52 weeks x 30 hour/week). Anyway.. I will wait until I get more score for my foreign work experience.
