1.5 years in Security check

Hello,

Family sponsorship case:
We did our medical examination 1.5 years ago. Since then we never heard anything from CIC. everytime i contact them, they say you are in security screening process.
Is it normal?
We are Iranians and the file was opened by my sister who is a canadian citizen.
She sponsored my parents and me.

Please let me know if there is any way I can approach.

Much of the security screening is done by outside agencies. It is likely stuck with authorities in Iran.

Has your sister requested GCMS notes?
