I have applied for Canadian Citizienship and i am currently Indian citizen. I am planning to move to US on L1A visa on Indian passport. Does anyone know what happens when I get canadian citizenship to my US VIsa, do i immediately become out of status and will return to Canada or are there work arounds?

It depends if India allows multiple citizenship, if not you'll have to give up one citizenship and if you choose Canadian, your visa will be cancelled
I can't comment about the impact to your Indian citizenship upon acquiring Canadian, but as long as you maintain Indian citizenship, the visa sticker remains valid.
i.e., US visas on other passports remain valid until their expiry date, even if you acquire other citizenships, as long as you maintain citizenship of the country who issued the passport with the sticker, and if you enter the US you must present it with a valid travel document of that same country (a valid Indian passport).
