Hello everyone,
I'm looking for advice or experiences from others regarding my case under the refugee sponsorship program, processed through the Cairo office. Here's a summary of my timeline so far:
Application received: July , 2023
Processing started: August , 2024
Additional documents requested and submitted: April, 2024, submitted April 2024
Interview: September , 2024
Pre-arrival services letter: September, 2024
Medical instructions sent: September , 2024
Medical exam completed: October, 2024
Medical results received by IRCC: October, 2024
I've received confirmation from my sponsor and a government worker that all steps (medical, interview, and security checks) have been passed. They mentioned that we are waiting for final decision-making
However, the status online still shows in Process, and I haven't received any further updates since October 2024 It's now January 2025, and the wait has been challenging.
Has anyone gone through a similar timeline, especially in the Cairo office? How long did it take for the Decision Made update or travel arrangements to follow? I'm particularly worried about delays but i trust God
Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences or insights!
Man, you're so lucky things are moving faster for you than a lot of folks here. I'm betting you'll land this year for sure. The way IRCC is processing files, it's taking forever just to even get an AOR, let alone an interview.

I hope so thank you so much can you share your timeline please
It seems like your application is moving faster than usual. I assume they are waiting for backroud checks to be clear so that they can go ahead for issuing a visa for you. If everything goes well you might get your tickets either in February or March QUOTE="Dani_2000, post: 10999109, member: 1269072"]

This is normal. There are often long periods of time with no updates.
Guys I meet some people during my medical examination they were under unhcr and they got the decision made on eCAS but me still in process what does that mean why they are faster than SAH?
the replies from IRCC and the embassy when I contacted them don't make any sense waiting this much is really frustrating they don't give you any deadline or a certain date

Different programs so you can’t compare processing.

If they are GAR, they definately get processed faster than PSRs.
Can anyone tell me when I will be getting a decision at least according to the timeline you have been through it's so frustrating

I think it's going to be really hard for anyone here to say. For privately sponsored refugees, the estimated processing time for the refugee part of the application is 31 months. Of course it's quite possible you will be done faster. But it's hard for any of us to tell you what to expect. Good luck.
