Hello everyone.
I recently became a pr and landing was done on the 29th of November 2024.
I am worried because my pr card hasn’t been delivered. Processing time on CIV website says 20 days and It doesn’t specify if it’s 20 working days or just 20 days.
Is it worth escalating?
can anyone share how long it took to get their pr card delivered . Thanks
I am almost certain the recent CUPW strike delayed PR Cards, since they are sent via Canada Post [regular/snail mail].
My wife landed on January 13 and the agent told her it takes 3 to 6 months for the PR card to be sent.

Don't escalate. It will arrive

That's probably excessively long estimate but typically the timeframe has been up to 60 days, but with some variance - and that's before the ~month-long postal strike.

Processing times are often more aspirational than realistic also can be quite of variability when it comes to processing times throughout the year and between people. Unless over 4-6 months would not worry.
Yeah, since we don't plan to travel outside Canada before 2026, it is fine for us.
We just received 2 letters telling the photos we gave with the COPR are rejected and to redo them...
Thank you all for your response.
My pr card was delivered today jan 27 2025
