I was directed to use the PR Portal to submit my photo and confirm my address. It asks for cropping the photo to make the face look bigger, but it says that the officer can do it on behalf of me if I am not sure about how to use it. I was worried that cropping my change the photo in a way that it violates their specifications so I just didn't crop it to fit it into the circle. Is this ok to do? Also, the portal turned the pic into black and white. Does it delay the process in any way although they say they can still do it for me?
The photo is accepted though. So, I assume that that is good sign at least
That is what they ask you to do, to crop it to fit the circle and mine changed color too, so you should be okay.
I didn't crop it in case it changes its quality. But, it says an office can do it so i hope that will be possible. It says the following:
"Use the blue rectangle crop box to center and fit your head between the two circular green lines and ensure your chin touches the bottom of the circle. If you are unable to use your cursor to drag and crop your photo to meet the photo requirements, a caseworker can do so for you once your photo is submitted."
