I should add that, if you decide to write to Dubai police, use this email address:
التحريات - التصاريح والشهادات <certificate@dubaipolice.gov.ae>
I think you can omit the Arabic :)
The address I have given is one of several I have. It was the source of the most useful information. If you...
The friend in Dubai might be an ace in the hole. An approach might be to write to Dubai police and ask if the friend can attend at their office as agent, and bring a fingerprint card for your wife from Singapore, any photos required, copy of current passport, apostilled or whatever, along with...
I won't say she must go to Dubai. In fact, probably not. In our case, we grew weary of runaround, roadblocks, false leads, etc. Persistence was not well rewarded. On the other hand, my correspondence directly with Dubai police was encouraging. So, in the end, we decided "to fight no more...
Good morning catapv (at least it's 7:30 a.m. where I am in Canada).
I just now saw your responses to what I have written. I'll provide what reply I can now and think a bit more about a few things, to come back later.
I'll deal with this one now.
I understand your concern about point #3. It...
I think I just might follow up with MP, as you suggest.
I enjoyed pompous lawyer anecdote. Me, I try to rein in my pomposity, lest it backfire as per your anecdote :)
Something else I just noticed in the notes. Page 13 that I detailed, sets out my visits to the Phils to be with my wife...
Thank you so much @armoured for your insightful comments. Both helpful and reassuring.
I did not see anywhere "REVIEW TYPE". The notes I have quoted are on page 13 of 18 pages. Immediately preceding what I quoted (from the top of p13), there appears, at the bottom of P. 12, the following...
You are in luck. There's a Philippines Statistics Authority office there:
PSA Building, Diosdado Macapagal Gov't Center Barangay Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga 2000
You can walk in without an appointment. You each fill out a form (take your passports and any Phils ID your wife has)...
Thanks comarxx. But I am a bit concerned about what the notes (received yesterday) reveal. I am not sure of what to make about the lack of IRCC records of my previous marriage. Of course, if they did a name search with the misspelled name, I am not surprised they found nothing.
And I don't...
It may well be that NOA was all that was asked. BUT, if the IRCC wants more, better to comply. I doubt you want to argue with them. That would not enhance your prospects for success in your application.
Where will you be in the Phils? I asked before and maybe you have a reason for not saying. If I know where you plan to be, I'll be better able to tell about time to get Cenomar.
I suppose the guidance would be to provide what is asked. Is there a reason why not? And, if you have a lawyer acting for you, what guidance has the lawyer offered?
