In general its true that there is a trade off for everything. I in general do not like mixing education with immigration but I know many people do. Similarly, I do not believe in delaying marriage for immigration but again, I know many people do. You have one life, education and marriage /...

"trackitt" comes to mind and then there used to be "wegreened".. Might be all out of date. Then there are expat focused forums like "britishexpat".

US Border services are not the most well funded part of American bureaucracy. Meaning fuck ups are common indeed. Like failure to register departure. Flagging a person incorrectly is another. A number of folks also suffer another issue of administrative refusal while flag polling. It remains (or...

All politicians are morons but he was malignant and had an anti-midas touch. Whatever he touched become shit.

All of the FAANG companies are US based ones. My employer too.
Europe other than UK is honestly too small to matter in digital tech. There are a lot of "IT" opportunities in Europe but proper tech is small. Very small. I will say Australia has much more vibrant tech scene.
To be honest, no...

Not true. I work for a FAANG company and number of Indians and Asians in general are .... pretty.... I do not know the right adjective.
Let me put it in this way: My first team in Canada was an Indian boss, 1 Peruvian, 1 Vietnamese, 2 Indians, 1 Chinese, I Hungarian, 2 Spanish and 1 Pakistani...

Transitioning from TN to PERM is a much tricky proposition. Its doable but its not straight forward. This is because TN is not a dual intent visa.

In 2021, it was 90.2% And this was combined Mexico and Canada. I bet Canada side is much easier because they demand much less paper work than Mexico...

It means, get the immigration done while persuing other goals. If you are laser focused on immigration, you will mess up a lot many other things. I know people who left perfectly great careers to re-boot from start or take up un-skilled jobs for immigration. My opinion is this is not necessary...

My experiences (rather stories I heard because I have never worked in USA per say) are more tech oriented. For tech roles, it has never been a hurdle unlike H1B which is a lottery literally.
Remember, there are no major Global Skills Work Permit in USA and H1B is capped...

I always think of Masters in tech/core as Rod of Ages in League. Its an early(ish?) build item which helps you build more capabilities early and grow as you go. Meaning, do it early.
MBA is a situational thing. Sometimes doing it early makes a hell lot of sense: Finance comes to mind...

To be very honest, masters etc get you your first job. Thats the end of it. Afterwards its just a piece of paper, your work matters more. Your relationships matter more. I mean, at one point of time I considered doing a degree in Japan, if not for anything then just for living there for...

If you need a degree, get it from the US. Get OPT visa, work in US get some experience and if your GC does not work out, go to Canada, get Canadian passport and get a free ticket entry to USA via NAFTA visa.
