Any idea when I can expect my PPR?
Also, I submitted my biometrics at VFS Mumbai in India. However, I work in Doha, Qatar now so will it be possible for me to submit my passport at VFS Doha? As per what I know, the passport has to be submitted in the same country where the biometrics have been done...

When we completed our biometrics, we had to travel to another city since the VFS office closest to us was closed until further notice. It said on the paper that came with the receipt, that YES, once they ask for your passport, you can submit it to a different VFS branch and pay the corresponding fee for doing so.

I didn't ask the officer who took my biometrics in terms of "country", but I did ask if I can submit my passport (assuming once they send me PPR) to the closest VFS office near me, she said that "yes" I can. The only catch is paying the fee when you send your passport to a different VFS office that took your biometrics. They only stamp the visa anyway, and since they are one entity, I reckon that can be done anywhere.
Although as I'm not an authorized representative, I would highly suggest you also do your due diligence in checking with VFS directly. You can visit their website to check which phone number you can call. From where I live, they have phone operators that quickly answers the phone.
Just put this up. last update received on 7th Jan 2021. No other update after this..
