Update: Checked today morning and see the following:
On ociservices.gov.in: Status is : UNDER-PROCESS. Date of acknowledgement: 16-FEB-2022. Until yesterday (or maybe until day before yesterday), it would show NO RECORD FOUND.

On BLS website, there are two lines:
In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre
Processing at Consulate General

Until yesterday, both lines were 'Processing at Consulate General'. I suppose first line is for returning the original document, second line is for the OCI booklet.

I'll give another update when I receive the original from purolator.

Update: Received citizenship certificate original back today, Feb 18, 2022.

Now the tricky part: We are moving end of this month to another province. Any way to get BLS to change shipping address for the OCI booklet to a different one than the one submitted during application?

Hi All, for OCI application submission in Ottawa BLS with appointment, do we need to submit our original Canadian passport along with the OCI application ?

Yes if you choose to pick by yourself but it is weird that still they were asking for courier charges.

BLS is a shitshow. Charged us 3.50 for photocopying a document that was right there in the bundle of documents we had handed over.

You can go to Canada post and let them know to forward your mails to the new address. I think there is a nominal charge for it.

But this is Purolator.

I am moving but my parents will still be living at the address but they'll be gone to India when the OCI arrives. So no one home to receive it.

Just weird how everything is lining up to make this difficult for me.

hello I am filling surrender application I have some doubts I would be thankful if someone help me clear
1 On surrender application form
They are asking reason to acquire foreign nationality . What we can write down ?
2 and 2 form ( Form XXlll )of application is to be filled by the officer whoever receiving application ?
3 And on checklist page there is 4 Section to fill Applicant name , passport Number , submission officer ( what we have to fill in That) and Date ( what date we write down ? )

Does anyone know, if I send the OCI application by post at Brampton location, there is a bank draft of $345 in favour of CGI TORONTO, $ 7.4 + courier fee payable to BLS INTERNATIONAL , Does anyone know how much is the courier fees ? what if I dont want the courier services

Has anybody recently applied for a Tourist visa to India ? I am checking to see if anybody has and if they can let me know how much time it took them to get it ? My file was accepted at the Ottawa consulate office on Feb 8 and since then it’s under processing. The website states that it can take 30 days and BLS told me it usually takes anywhere from 3 days to a couple of weeks. Please advise, thanks.
