Are there any May 2021 applicants who are waiting for their fingerprints to be recieved by IRCC? I've sent mine on January 21, 2022 and this isn't reflected in my application tracker.

It took them about 45 days to update my FP status in Montreal Office, so it is safe to assume that you will not hear anything sooner than a month. There have been exceptions with update reflected within 20 days.
You can contact RCMP to know the status of your report and when they mailed it out to IRCC.

Fingerprints are required for the background check, so no, you won't be asked for FP after BG is completed. Note that there are always exceptions, where BG status was changed to in-progress after being completed which may or may not require FP at that point.

No updates since February 3rd when my status after doing the test was changed to completed. Everything else including background check is still in progress… anybody else?
